Battle of Bean Station Re-enactment
EVENT RULES


These rules will be enforced for the authenticity of this event, your safety and respect for Ritter Farms.

Fireworks, live ammunition and non-period firearms are not permitted on premises.

Period clothing is required by both military and civilian re-enactors in camp and on the field.

All modern equipment, packages and food must be hidden from spectator's sight.

All uniforms and shoes must be of proper period material and construction.

Participants must be quiet after midnight out of respect for others.

No firearms will be fired before 12 PM on Sunday. Provost will arrest violators.

Please report missing items to registration table before leaving camp.

Cavalrymen are not to take any hits off horseback. We do not want any loose horses or injury to re-enactors. Please dismount before you take a hit.

Ramrods will not be used during any scenario. No penny wrappers, staples, wads or tape are to be used for cartridges.

Vehicles must be out of camp by 9 AM. Any re-enactors arriving after 9 AM will be given a small grace period to unload their gear.

Please have updated horse health papers. They will be reviewed. No stallions allowed.

All participants are required to register upon arrival.

Commanders are responsible for the conduct of their troops and passing event information.

All weapons are to be inspected prior to each battle. Fill all canteens prior to battles.

Due to the respect given to the flags of both the NORTH and SOUTH, please try to keep the flags from touching the ground at all times.

No illegal substances permitted violators will be referred to local law enforcement.

No alcoholic beverages are permitted on Ritter Farms property. Ritter Farms is private property, please respect it.

No pets allowed in camp.

Participants must be 12 years old to be in events, this includes musicians and standard bearers. Participants must be 16 years old to carry a weapon in events. Parental approval is mandatory. Event hosts reserve the right to exclude participants from events.

Camp fire safety regulations must be followed. Firepits shall be dug and sod used to cover pit.
