Greenhouses
Ritter Farms grows tomatoes in greenhouses both in the soil and hydroponically. Grainger County greenhouse tomatoes have that same great taste as tomatoes grown in the field.

Tomatoes in Greenhouse
Our greenhouse season begins in
late March/early April and lasts
through June.

At Ritter Farms we grow our own tomato plants for the greenhouse and field crops. Grainger County tomato varieties are carefully selected for good taste and quality. Each year experimental varieties are grown, but only the best become a Grainger County variety, ensuring a great tasting tomato for our customers for years to come.

Field Tomatoes

In late June/early July, Grainger County tomatoes are ready for harvest in the field. Tomatoes are grown in four plantings which provide our customers with tomatoes throughout the season until frost in late October/early November.
